Merrimac Police Help Collect More Than 4,000 Pounds of Food During “Fill-A-Cruiser” Food Drive

MERRIMAC — Chief Eric M. Shears and the Merrimac Police Department are pleased to announce that the Merrimac Police Department helped collect 4,293 pounds of food, equivalent to 3,302 meals, during the Regional Stuff-A-Cruiser food drive.fooddrive

All items collected during the Regional Stuff-A-Cruiser food drive were donated to Our Neighbor’s Table, a nonprofit based in Amesbury that provides assistance through food pantries and meal delivery services to Essex County families who are in need.

The Merrimac, Amesbury, West Newbury and Salisbury Police Departments all participated in the food drive which was held at Stop & Shop, 100 Macy St., Amesbury, on Saturday Nov. 19.
