Message from the Chief

Hello!

Welcome to the Merrimac Police Department’s website.

In my 30-plus years serving the town, our residents, business community, and visitors have come to expect the highest level of professional police services possible.

While I have seen many changes, one thing has not changed: Those who work for our department serve with pride and honor, and work toward making our town better each day. We know your trust is earned and we do not take it for granted.

We are most effective when we collaborate with community members to address issues and solve problems. Our new website is one tool in that effort. Here you can find forms to request speed complaint enforcement, request public records, make an anonymous tip, request a car seat installation, commend an officer, and much more.

If you have a question or concern, or if the Merrimac Police Department can help in any way, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
Chief Eric M. Shears
