Since the 1950’s on Christmas Eve, the Merrimac Santa Committee, with help from the Merrimac Police and Fire Departments, have taken Santa Claus on a ride through town covering every accessible street.
He sits on his Sleigh with his nine reindeer, greeting everyone he sees!
This year, the ride begins at 4:15 p.m. at the fire station. A police car leads with lights and siren to tell the people and Santa follows shortly behind the cruiser.
